I appreciate every comment on my photos, but please do not add invites with gaudy images bigger than thumbnail-size or any animated gifs - thank you!

My husband brought this carved dragon statuette back from one of his trips to Bangkok, and I keep it in my office. Coincidentally, in the Chinese lunar calendar, I was born in the "year of the dragon" - I guess I'm a dragon lady ! |

Remember when you were a kid and you got a new box of crayons?
- that dry, sweet smell of wax...
- the perfect unbruised tips...
- the smooth wrappers...
- studying the names of each one: "brick red", "celadon", "sea mist"...
- arranging them in the boxes by colors...
- taking each one carefully out its cardboard sleeve and replacing it gently after use?
Then one snapped, then another, then you peeled back the wrappers, then, what the heck, you threw them in the plastic bin with all the other used crayons and used them with abandon...
I bought a box of 64 crayolas at Target last weekend in anticipation of joining in the weekly challenge in the 64 colors pool - $2.74 plus tax for a box of happiness and memories - Priceless !

M is for... Mountain.
I love living in Vermont. There is something about being here that just makes me feel happy. I remember many a time driving out of town and just crossing the border back to Vermont made me feel better. Not to say that other places aren't beautiful and peaceful, but I can't help, but love my home state's beautiful geography.
This is one mountain that kept catching my eye on my way to play Rock Band, watch Wonderfalls, and eat dinner with friends.
It's also a photomerge shot.
Random Fact: Wonderfalls was a great show, I had never seen it before today, but I really enjoyed it. It's too bad that Fox doesn't know good shows when they have them.
