Result of a very short, spontanous and unplanned shooting where I tested a high-key light setup.
Used two (and a half :) system flashes - one to get the background (white fabric) bright white, a second one as the main light through an umbrella (camera left) and last but not least the built in camera flash at very low power as a fill light from front.
So yeah... it looked pretty cool. I have absolutely no idea where you could wear it though, lol... Maybe I'll go to the movies w/it sometime or something.
Side note: So yeah... this light is actually our refrigerator light, lol. I was taking a picture of mold in our fridge one time and the lighting came out pretty cool... it was this cold, clear, white light. I'm not sure if it's because the fridge walls are reflecting the light, or if it's the bulb or what... but, it's cool lighting. So until I figure out how to replicate it I'm going to use my ghetto fridge light, lol.
Second of the five images my friend picked out for you guys to see.
Tara here was a bit of a trooper for this shoot. Not only did she put up with the whims of a stupid photographer cooking up stupid ideas, but she let Anastasia, the MUA go to town on her and create the look. And yet despite mascara pouring into her eyes bringing on genuine tears, and these tealights doing a really good job of burning some rather fragile bits as they bobbed around in the water, she stuck it out, because she knew what we were creating.
A rare thing, a model with the ability to genuinely see creative visions and trust the outcomes. Once again (and I'm saying this far too often of late) you're missed Tara.

(Strobist/flash info: Ambient light in the bathroom, balanced (used dimmers) with tealights, and dialled in to suit with Orbis ringlight on Orbis Arm over a 580 EXII fired via OC-E3 cord.)
