Hurricane Ike's storm surge derailed this car at the Galveston Railroad Museum in September 2008; it's now March 2010 and there is still a lot of work to be done.
The museum hopes to reopen this Fall (2010).

Yes, I jumped, again. It's really hard not to, when you are in places so beautiful and vast they make you feel small and thankful.
White Sands was amazing... and VERY populated, haha. We went mid-afternoon, and we took the drive tour, so I didn't have a lot of space to shoot in that wasn't full of people. Not only that, but I was towing around a 7 year old. It was absolutely amazingly gorgeous... but it's something you need to do on your own, if you want to get some great photography in. AND I suggest going at sundown, so you can take the Sunset Stroll. The light will be much more dramatic, and the white won't be so hard to capture without blowing it out. :D
That's what I'll be doing next time I come back!
I'll post some more photos of the scenery, soon. :D Tomorrow we are going to stop at Carlsbad Caverns on the way home.... ahhhh home. Haha. I can't wait to see my love!!!!!! And hopefully I can take some time to catch up on what I've been missing around here. | Storytelling Ravens posted a photo:

Haha. So, I think the title does a lot in explaining this picture. Now for some more detail...
Today was a pretty normal day. I got home from school and didn't feel much like homework. So, I grabbed my little brothers chucks and walked into the woods--no plan in mind. After taking a bunch of pictures, i then decided to take some jumping shots. I set the chucks on the ground and my inspiration grew from there. I was honestly jumping in the middle of the woods like a mad man...I really hope no one was watching. Haha.
I think this is an original idea...though, i'm sure it's been done. I didn't copy though: promise. Haha.

Today was another fantabulous, beautiful, sunny day. And tomorrow will be even better. =D
I hung out with Bo and his family all day. :]
Went over to his house after tutoring, walked Bandit to the dock, sat in the sun and watched the geese & ducks with him, laughed when he jumped in the river to chase after them, had dinner with his family, helped convince his mom to let his younger sister go to Bamboozle, watched "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" with his fifth grade little sister.. =p
I hate leaving. | Benoit Dery posted a photo:
