Discriminar...eso no esta nada bien ante los ojos de Dios somos todos iguales ?

The Sophia

I watched Houseboat while doing some editing work today. I'm a die hard Cary Grant fan, but all I see when I watch Cary and Sophia together in Houseboat is the story that is reported to have been going on behind the scenes. Moments between the two seem awkward and strained. Uncomfortable. I can almost read each of their minds in certain scenes, like I'm watching a drama within a drama. It is said that Cary Grant desperately wanted to marry Sophia Loren, and proposed to her a second time during the filming of this movie. She turned him down, being engaged, and he still married. I can see it. I can see it on their faces. A history was there. Feelings were still there. Resentment was there. Anger was there. Hurt was there. Infidelity was there. The chemistry between them on screen was gone because of insurmountable personal issues between them. I find it fascinating. Sadly fascinating. Like not being able to look away from a tragic car wreck. I don't watch the movie because it is a great romantic film with impeccable acting?because it's not? I watch it because it has real life drama running through the undercurrent, and it makes me realize they were real people with real feelings and real problems, and life is not a fairytale. Having it all isn't always "having it all.". Eternal Houseboat paradise with a beautiful Italian non-maid isn't really possible. ...word.picture

Better Than War, Part 2

Strobist: two flashes, set off with Pocket Wizards. One is left of the camera, shot through an umbrella. The other flash is bare on a tripod, about five feet to the right of the model and 10 feet above her head. No boom mike needed- just a big rock outcropping to set the tripod on.

77/365- Pink Converse Are More Fun to Wear With a Dress than Heels...

Three in the comments! It's funny how I always plan shoots to do the next day before I fall asleep, and then I wake up, and when it comes time to shoot, I venture off and do something completely different.
