Work-in-progress (working) prototype for practitioner-friendly social media analysis toolkit...
...influential sites on left, followed by most cited people and organisations. Most-cited locations are geolocated on the map.
All nodes are active -- right-click to pull up a popup with ranked list of stories tying together the entity (person/place/organisation) and the topic of the analysis. The links in the popup are also live -- click to open default browser with the story.
This visualisation is to me MUCH more directly usable than the classic spidermaps, as a briefing and tracking tool.
Data sources (search engines, etc) for this are pulled by bespoke sensor modules -- adding a data source is less than a screen of code...
Next is adding longitudinal tracking and trend analysis/curve fitting.... |

This is an unopened package of software produced by XTree company in the late 80's or early nineties. My father and I found an entire box of old product in the garage. I used to work in the packaging department as a kid and actually remember assembling these. | iblogscott posted a photo:

However I attempt to install Wubi (by including the ISO in the same folder, on a CD, or making it dowload), I always get this error message:
"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."
I've just noticed that this version is showing as 8.04, although in all cases I attempted to install the most recent version; this is the latest install, where I specified a 32-bit install via Start > Run > "G:/wubi.exe --32bit" and Wubi must have downloaded the previous version.
I've also attempted the full Ubuntu install via copying an ISO to CD, but GRUB 1.5 issued error 21.
