More from the arches beneath the viaduct carrying the old GWR into Temple Meads railway station. Grim down here, with the ark rumbling of trains deafening, echoing through the honeycomb of vaults.
Didn't get teh composition of light I wanted on this one. The conditions were dark and the environment less than pleasant. This shot was taken using a huge gas bottle as a makeshift tripod, but that limited the flexibility in locating it. More to the right i feel would have given a better effect.
Not sure if it's still used or not (haven't seen an MRR in years), but this was the graphic that was used for scene reports submitted from Missouri in the '80s and early '90s, at least.
This old tree is beside Horseshoe Pond in Concord, NH. I work nearby and often walk along the pond at break time. The tree is split and arched (but parts are still alive). I saw the sun reflecting on the water through the arch and thought it might make an interesting shot. I like the weird green light that appeared. This is better viewed large. The original photo has only been cropped.
