We went on a lovely daytrip to Castlepoint, a tiny coastal spot on the Wairapa coast. We went on a windy walk up to the lighthouse, and then spent a very pleasant afternoon at the sheltered beach. This was taken just before the sun set at the boat launch on Sand Island Access Road, right after the bridge and across from Horizon Lines. The complexity of the different types of clouds amazed me. Tried to keep the composition fairly simple here.
Vertorama made from 2 HDR images tone mapped in photomatix from 3 exposures(-2,0,+2). Combined in CS3, added a layer for curves and saturation. Also put a small wheyth filter and used noise ninja. |
