In an experimental mood so I applied a vintage effect from Down and Dirty Designer Secrets in Photoshop. From there I work with different blend modes like subtraction and exclusion..with these bizarre modes always remember to use a gaussian blur at different extreme ends of the slider to see what you get along with a new blend mode.
I also used a old faded paper texture along the way. I then finished off using curves in different color channels to fade it to desired look.
I then played around with stroking the edge for boarder but didn't like it so i applied a empty mask and used a fill layer underneath. i then did a refine edge command and came up with these cool little edge effect.
