There's a black and white version of this photo here, which I think I like more, but since the difference was pretty drastic, I thought I'd upload both for comparison.

When I upload my photos in batches, I like to put my favorite as the last uploaded, so that it shows up first when you look at my photos - ya know, make a good first impression and all. I had the toughest time doing it in this batch, and I'm not convinced this is my favorite photo from this latest batch, but it really does just capture what my mood was there sitting on the dock, when the weather was still cold, but hinting at Spring, and the sun was starting to set so that it was giving some golden light but you could still see the blue of the sky (instead of the gray we'd been seeing for months, it seems). It was just a great, great day.

This image is so different than the color one. I only made it black and white for the iffles.com monthly theme challenge, but I'm so glad I did.
iffles.com Monthly Theme: Mono March! What: Photowalk.09/52 (61/104) Where: Portage Lakes State Park When: 4:30-5:15PM Editing: started with the color image linked to above, then desaturated it using the red and green channels and did a bottom-heavy S-shaped curve
