9.365 | off to class...

Otto Maass Chemistry Building, McGill University, Montréal, Québec, Canada.

I spent the day as a McGill student, following around Morgan to her two classes of the day: Canadian Foreign Policy and Asian Foreign Policy. The latter was about 100x better than the former.

Day 42 - I simply can't build my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery and death ... I think. peace and tranquillity will return again.

?It is easier to lead men to combat, stirring up their passion, than to restrain them and direct them toward the patient labour of peace.?
So, I had three ideas for today, and this is the one I went with. It was actually a mistake. I couldn't find what I had just had in my hand and already started the self-timer on my camera. So, I threw out my hand in the peace sign just to not waste a photo. But I thought it looked decent, do I kept it.
I was not in a good mood at all today. I'm tired, I'm still a bit upset, and destroyed of all confidence. But mid-morning was good. "Jerry" and "Dan" were there to make me laugh and so was another friend "Mike". "Mike" was the one that told me about what people were saying yesterday when I wore the dress. He's so close to me, we're like siblings.
I made somebody bleed in karate yesterday. I gave him a head wound. We were practicing knife fighting with wooden knives and a drill we were doing, we had to come around to the right first, then down and try to cut their stomach. Then go back up and - Okay, it's hard to imagine without a visual. I'll get photos up some other time of what I mean. But anyway - We were allowed to go to one side, then fake to the other, and that's what I did. I faked right and went left with the knife and ended up jabbing him above the eyebrow because he didn't block. It started to bleed freakin' everywhere, so Shihan got a band-aid and slapped it on his forehead. I felt bad at first, but hey - he kinda deserved it. He can be a cocky, egotistical jackass =] But I still like to hang out with him. He's cool.
However, I have a bruise the shape of a fist on my arm. It's not from him though. It's about.... two or three inches long and pretty nasty. Then I have one on the side of my hand. I kinda don't want to say what happened. But the bruise looks like the Simon Says thingy, where you have to poke the colors that light up in a pattern, you know? =] It's kinda neat. I like it when I have bruises. They're entertaining when you're bored.

"As I walk through
This wicked world
Searchin' for light in the darkness of insanity.
I ask myself
Is all hope lost?
Is there only pain and hatred, and misery?

And each time I feel like this inside,
There's one thing I wanna know:
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?

And as I walked on
Through troubled times
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
So where are the strong
And who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony?
Sweet harmony.

'Cause each time I feel it slippin' away, just makes me wanna cry.
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?"

("(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understand" by The Wallflowers) I just typed in some words on letssingit.com and this popped up. I really like it.

down farm sunset

Right on the edge of the dirt track into the field across the road is a great spot to take sunset shots. So long as you ignore the sign which says "No unauthorised access. Rough shooting can take place at any time."

True, true

Either this is a new sign, or I just never noticed it in three years of walking past it.

The down arrow is meant to indicate the location of the Citi ATM, but it's a better indication of Citi's financial condition.

This ATM is on Diamond at Bosworth, San Francisco.

Hello!

19 Months

James & I were just discussing getting rid of their little giraffe friend when low and behold, of course since he was touched, they play with him again. They had the prior day too. May still pack him away soon though.

Daddy James dug out some toys we had packed away, got this one from our friend Rory a while back that his girls used. James LOVES it, he got the hang of it right away, though I think it's cute that he runs in the opposite direction usually.

When twitter is down it's even harder to explain to people

But then again when twitter is down you might as well drop by friendfeed and continue discussing things there instead
