I was looking for a place to seek refuge from the boiling Bali sun one afternoon & stumbled into Rendezvous.Doux (surprise surprise - me stumbling into a French cafe/bookstore :P)
Spent the whole afternoon chatting with Thierry & his friends. My French ended up getting more of a workout than my Bahasa! That's why I love travelling - you just never know who you might meet, and now I have some new friends to stay in touch with :)
I'm beginning the Always Be Creative project that was founded by this group. I'm really excited to begin a new project that will help me with my creative functioning. My take on the project will be photos of objects shaped like the letters of the alphabet. I also encourage you to check out Kailalalani, who is one of my friends who is doing the challenge as well. She's doing photos of things that represent song titles that start with the letters of the alphabet. It will be great to watch her photos as well. If you begin this project, let me know!
This is the letter "A" obviously. It's a little eiffel tower statue that has been featured in other photos on my stream.
Vintage-style, French charms hang from nested antiqued chains. The charms are made from antique tooling and the Amour charm is accented with hand-wrapped orange glass beads--these add the perfect touch of color. This super sweet necklace makes a perfect gift for a loved one--or you!
The Amour (means "love" in French) charm is brass and roughly 1 inch (2.54 cm) in diameter. The background of the charm is engraved and cross-hatched with an antiqued finish to create depth. Lead free.
The Oui charm is brass and roughly .75 inches (1.9 cm) in diameter. "Oui" is written in a cute script font and, like the Amour charm, the background is engraved and cross-hatched with an antiqued finish. Lead free.
The longer chain is 21 inches (53.3 cm) long and the shorter chain is roughly 18 inches (45.7 cm) long. The chains are connected at the clasp. Please let me know if you would like the chains to be shorter when you check out and I will customize it before sending it out. The clasp is a matching antiqued lobster claw with a sole, hand-wrapped orange glass bead.
Necklace comes with a super cute, hand-sewn jewelry pouch made from vintage-inspired fabric. I will carefully package the necklace and pouch using recycled materials.
