The Sharp EL-8018 Elsimate is a cool diode calculator from 1976. Popped in 2 AA's and it works like a charm. Punchy keys though? Nice VFD display. Months on 2 AA's.

The Palm IIIe was a big hit, had clean lines and nice and light to hold. The monochrome screen meant it worked weeks on 2 AAA batteries.
