Or maybe its the big kiss hello, anyway this pair of lovers is about 30 feet tall and is at the bayfront in San Diego, California. Its a public art piece that I didnt like at first but now Im rather fond of. People come and touch the statues as the fabric is real and both men and women and kids peak under the skirt, just more white pantyhose, I looked too. Next to this is a retired aircraft carrier that is now a museum. The bay is a fun place for art and people and boats of all kinds. | in pastel posted a photo:

A toast to moos that got to the states surprisingly fast!

Shot for today?s FGR, "I propose a toast to the hat" in "A Clockwork Orange" style
and I cheated, I had to Photoshop in the eyelash, otherwise I would have needed to make a trip out to buy .... fake eyelashes or whatever you would use (I don?t have any of that stuff despite what others may say!) I tried a dark blue eye pencil (which I "just" happend to have) and that just looked poo, I did briefly flirt with the idea of a permanent black marker...... but that could have been horribly difficult to remove....
Lightroom: crop, export to Photoshop
Photoshop: adjust levels, saturation +15, resize, USM sharpen 150% R0.3, save to JPG.
Strobist: 580EXII @ 1/8 to camera right into shoot through umbrella, full setup here. I really should have used a rim light to catch the back of the rim and cut me away from the background but I only realised that afterwards once I looked at the shots on the PC :( | Tim Caynes posted a photo:

I made this gorgeous cloche by steaming and blocking the olive green felt on antique wooden blocks. I then hand sewed the crown and brim together and sewed a wire into the edge of the brim for added structure. I trimmed this hat with three rows of lovely olive green cording and a fabulous leather flower. A grosgrain ribbon provides the band on the inside of the hat.
The hat size is about 22 5/8 inches (57cm) or a size 7 1/4, perfect for a medium to large head. It comes with a complimentary hat box.
I just love the romantic and vintage look of cloches. You'll find this hat to be very wearable, comfortable and elegant. | Tissage posted a photo:

Today was the Warwick Atheist Society Christmas meal. We did it in honour of Pastafarianism and the flying Spaghetti Monster. For those who are not familiar with Pastafarianism, it is a religion formed in protest to the state of Kansus forcing creationism into science classes. In the church of the flying spaghetti monster they worship a large ball of spaghetti. It is a full religon with its own creation myth, bible and best of all they claim that pirates are divine beings.
So to worship this noodly being we dressed as pirates and went out for a pasta meal followed by the pub.
Todays FGR was Toast to the Hat. So here is me in my christmas pirate costume toasting to the good ye'old fashion pirate hat. Arrrrrr. | quack1701 posted a photo:

Shotgunning a beer for FGR's infiltration of I propose a toast and to the hat.
I have the day off from work today. I have been at the boyfriends doing all his laundry before he leaves me for three weeks.
Housework and drinking make a merry housewife.
Someday soon I will take a flattering photo for my 365 ;p | skrillaknits posted a photo:
