Half Dome from near Mirror Lake, Yosemite National Park, California.

From Mirror Lake, which is at its base, Half Dome takes on a less-dominating, different look. The face was shrouded in fog most of the time this afternoon but here the fog breaks enough to expose it sheer granite countenance.

What a stunningly beautiful place Yosemite is. The crowds may get tiresome but the scenery, never.
