We had promised Ike we would go see the caves when we went upstate this past summer but never went because Lee hurt her back. Our nephew had been wanting to go with his family too, so we all piled into the car and made the 3 hour trip to see Howe Caverns one of the world's largest natural mineral caves! It didn't disappoint - totally cool!

Truck 10 (right) was a mid-1970's Seagrave tractor-drawn aerial ladder with a Ford C-series tractor. Painted white over lime yellow.

Engine 17 (middle) was a mid-1970's Howe pumper on a Ford C-Series chassis. Painted lime yellow.
Truck 17 (right) was an aerial ladder built by American LaFrance on a Ford C chassis for the North Sacramento FD in the early 1960's. It appears to have been a quint. |
