Di Fara's Pizza on Avenue J in Brooklyn is an experience to be had. At first glance this hole in the wall with its five dollar slices is puzzling but the full line of people had to know something I didn't. Once inside this Brooklyn gem has you captured.
Each pie is hand made by the owner Domenic, who crafts each and every pie himself with the most fresh ingredients prepared on the spot. Chunky tomatoes, fresh grated cheese, olive oil, and chunks of Mozzerella di Buffala. Then when the pizza comes out of the oven its placed right in front of you and then more grated cheese and more olive oil is sprinkled on top and then Domenic holds a bunch of fresh basil on top and with a scissor cuts large pieces onto the pie. All the while people stand around with their eyes wide and their mouths watering, waiting as long as it takes, and it can take up to 20 minutes or longer. Finally you get to eat the Pizza and WOW! is it good. The best Pizza I have EVER had, even while in Italy, simply amazing!

This car was always my poster dream. There are better cars, there are faster cars, there are definitely more modern cars, safer cars, prettier and more practical cars. This probably isn't the one most lamborghini officianado's would go for either, its the 25th anniversary version, its not the fastest model and its styling is considered fussy and the wing is a factory option cosmetic add-on that purists hate.It did however get rid of the previous models tubby flanks, and I actually found that improvement. The diablo was faster but just didn't have the looks. The gallardo and murcielago are undeniably sexy, but they were never a replacement for this. This is my chariot of the gods.
This however, remains the one that makes my heart flutter more than the rest by the factor of ten. I wanted one when I was 10 years old, and I still want one.
The photo of the car was taken on a cosina cs2 on manual and film back in the early 90's. The car was practically factory fresh. Its a scan. The background I dropped in because it was funkier than the 80's gorms with their poofy hairdo's and stupid loud shirts that were originally looming over it at a world sportscars supercar test day at castle coombe. I hdr'd it for laughs.
This was not the picture I wanted to take today. The one I wanted to do came out awful.
I thought I looked half-way decent in this accidental shot, even though the lighting is terrible and gym time is non-existent lately.
Maybe I should have played around with the Photshop filters to make it more interesting like I did in yesterday's photo, but I have a hot date tonight with Jodie Foster, margaritas, and Netflix.
