I did a few random candid shots while I was waiting for a friend, this was one of the shots I got. I wasn't thinking of posting this but I found the contrast in fashion sense to be interesting. Neat little accidental shot.
I wasn't quite satisfied with the product I had from the last attempt I had with this photo, so I remixed it again. Definitely happier with this and if I get a chance, I might take more photos like this!

St. Patrick's Cathedral is a special place, and every time I have a reason to visit I am always struck by its beauty. It never gets old. One day last week at lunchtime I grabbed my trusty Canon PowerShot, with no specific goal in mind, and headed over.
On the steps outside the Cathedral, a large group of teenagers was assembling. The boys wore matching suits and ties and the girls wore matching deep blue dresses. I guessed they were a choir, and sure enough, about fifteen minutes later, as I slowly circumnavigated the interior, they assembled in front of the altar and filled the Cathedral with their talented voices.
With their music as my backdrop, I headed towards the chapel at rear of the Cathedral. Just outside the chapel is a large and exquisite pietà created in 1906 by American sculptor William O. Partridge. It is three times as large as the most famous one - the one Michelangelo sculpted that now resides in St. Peter's Basilica - however, unlike the one in Rome, you can walk right up to this magnificent piece of art and feel its power up close.
