The Psychedelic Surfer has left the building!

Just dropping by with a dip in the archives as promised, and a long overdue surfing upload! It's not a complete post and run, but time is still short with so much work to be done so apologies if i don't get to see you all today.

This ones for my friends Pacey & SJ who are travelling the world looking for waves and generally having a great time, missing you guys, come back soon and do some baby-sitting :)

It was shot back in February (when every day seemed to bring more waves) on the same morning as the 'headless surfer triptych'. You can see that triptych in the comments below, and more from that day over on the soulsurfing headless surfer blog.

Beach Art - Yellow Raft, Boundary Bay

The peaceful little community of Point Roberts has about 1000 year round residents and swells to 5000 for the summer. This watercolor from an image I photographed on the beach is very typical of how most summer residents spend their time.

Yaquina Lighthouse, Newport, Oregon

Yaquina Lighthouse in Newport, Or. Marine layer and wind were both fairly strong. As was the smell from the giant dead sea lion coned off on the ?beach?. I use quotes because instead of sand, the coastline was made up of these apple sized black rocks smoothed round by the sea. They sounded like thousands of clackers (giant marbles) as the waves receded back off the steep coastline. Other than the smell, it was a beautiful and pleasing place to be.
