Set of BEEJU plastic lorries (and a train) made by EVB plastic, Redhill, 1950s. They are roughly HO scale and many share a common cab/chassis. The models turn up occasionally but I was lucky to find this set many years ago at a collectors fair- the box is a little worn but the models are nearly mint (and unwarped!). From top left they are; Coal lorry; radar lorry; Pig/farm lorry; Locomotive (clockwork); Tipper lorry; aeroplane lorry; milk lorry; fore engine; Pom-Pom (gun) lorry; wooden plank lorry; tanker; and GPO (telephone repair) van.
I did use an Orton effect as I felt it added a mysterious touch. Please view large.
I can't tell you why but all I could think of was 'Ol Huck Finn's trip down the river on his adventure. Loved this old work shed nestled amoung the oaks along the American River.
A photo shoot at Best Farm, part of the Monocacy National Battlefield. I liked this pump handle -- very unassuming, not connected to the Civil War battle.
