When Selena was about 5 years old, she wrote her name on a sticky note and stick to the Clinic sign of my Clinic as "Dr Selena Saykao". Twenty years later, it has become a reality. So, it is important to plant to seed early in life if you want to have the fruit later. But there is always a twist in the course of life as nothing will happen as every wish, at some point in our life. When Selena finished high school, she decided that she did not want to do Medicine! The family was disappointed because she always wanted to be a doctor . She went to enroll in a double degree "ART Science". She did extremely well in her first year, but at the end of the year, as three of her high school friends were doing Medicine, her friends had convinced Selena that they had more fun in Medicine and that she should change her course to Medicine. To our surprise, she took note of her friends and she asked for a change in her course. She got accepted within a week of applying and every thing is now history. | drpao2006 posted a photo:

AT Hobart, Tasmania to attend her graduation - a full day program beginning with a ceremony to receive the Geneva Declaration, then all the garduates parade thru the main street of the Hobart to attend the main ceremony conferring of degrees in the afternoon; and finished with a graduation dinner, attended by the 196 graduates and their families and Universities officials. |

A declaration to dedicated their live to serve humanity and to be good doctor! She had done two charity medical mission to the Philippine to give plastic surgery to the children with cleft lip and palate. She had worked in the Polynesians hospital, in India and Nepal for one year as her elective to study and work in third world country. She had traveled thru North American, all around India , Nepal, New Caledonia. All around Europe and South East Asia, including Laos. She had also selected to sail around Australia in the Young Endeavor ship where 20 top young people in Oz are give the opportunity to be train as leader in the high seas... Being children of a high achiever family carry extreme pressure for the kids to do well. But all of our kids, without pressure from us, they have taken on their own decision and now have taken on the baton and run for it , on their own term... Selena is now a medical doctor, our second son, Dexter has graduated at the same time with a double degree in Law and Commerce; www.flickr.com/photos/45952074@N00/sets/72157622929869419/
our eldest son graduated in Computer Science. So, we are so proud of each and every one of them:
