It is interesting to reflect on the power of social networking to help people collaborate, cooperate and network online.
Although the people listed on this Wikipedia web page did not know each other, they each contributed their knowledge and a picture to build up a knowledge resource that informs the public about the details of this open source software. Even the original software author jumped in to make a a contribution and some corrections.
I'm running Ubuntu GNU/Linux, the Dapper Drake release. Xgl/Compiz are working. This was captured with Gnome's screenshooter.
It shows the dialog box that pops up when I stop vidcap by clicking the gui stop button. Clicking the play button opens the capture with mplayer. The capture was one screen showing changing the opacity of tall terminal window. The xvidcap command was issued from the terminal in the lower left.
